We are always keen to welcome volunteers to the project.
Experience and training is great but is not essentialas full on the job training is provided.
What is expexted of volunteers?
The very minimum that is expected of a volunteer is to attend the drop in on a Saturday 11am-1pm and help facilitate it.
Facilitating consists firstly registerting service users, this is a requirement for all service uesers for health and safety reasons. (client registration https://forms.gle/fUhDJfGL4YDvckASA )
Volunteers are welcome to sit down, bei calm and welcoming to service users. Volunteers have empathy and are understanding and kind to others.
They Signpost service users to relevant services, activities and other groups for support or jsut something to do like an activity.
We have a handy file full of Signposting information, where you can share the contact information with the client. Signposting information is also available on this website.
Other ways you can help is with admin tasks, social media, events, workshops, activities. We are also open to suggestions!
This is a requirement to volunteer with MHHS.

Reasonsble and sensible expenses can be refunded on request with proof of reciept.
The whole project is volunteer lead from the top down and that is something we are proud of.
