This beautiful project began in March 2015, Originally called ‘Mental Health Help Hastings‘ and started as a social media support network. This was and still is a safe space where anyone can join and ask for advice or just vent.
This amazing project was born out of the community pulling together to support each other. That’s what makes this project so special. This is where we got one of our slogons ‘Unity in the Community.
We noticed that wellbeing support services were over exerted and waiting lists were huge. So we desired a place/service that can fill this void in the to offer free and firendly support within the community.
We pride ourselves on having lived experience and having training to support others.
Collectively we have given 10000s of voluntary hours to help others.
We have changed location a few times and are now settled in the Hastings Town Hall.
We are always happy to support and get support from other commnuity groups and similar.
We raise all our own funding currently through fundraising events and collection pots.
We are always keen to welcome new service users and new volunteers!
We also pride ourselves on our stupendous drop in that is a free service where we give back to the community.
We do this by signposting, being friendly, helpful and giving support from our training that include a combination first aid, mentoring, communication and more.
